Not Cancer Anymore? Then What’s My Star Sign?

Hello. (she said, posting on FRIDAY, not Saturday)

Have you heard about the big change? It’s star signs! They’ve switched! I have been Cancer the Crab for…a long time. Now they say I’m Gemini! What are you?

Capricorn: Jan. 20-Feb. 16.
Aquarius: Feb. 16-March 11.
Pisces: March 11-April 18.
Aries: April 18-May 13.
Taurus: May 13-June 21.
Gemini: June 21-July 20.
Cancer: July 20-Aug. 10.
Leo: Aug. 10-Sept. 16.
Virgo: Sept. 16-Oct. 30.
Libra: Oct. 30-Nov. 23.
Scorpio: Nov. 23-29.
*New*Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17. *New*
Sagittarius: Dec. 17-Jan. 20.

The reason for this big change is that the stars keep moving, blasted stars! The other reason…there’s another sign. It’s Ophiuchus, which, as you can see, is from November 29th to December 17th. If you were born on anywhere between those dates, you’re a lucky NEW sign! Yet another reason is…the Earth. You are probably aware that the Earth moves around on its axis. Well, this causes our constellations to ‘change’ over a period of 26,000 years. The signs changed because it was originally based on what constellation had the Sun ‘in’ it. Obviously, they’ve changed.

And what’s with that new sign? Well, Ophiuchus wasn’t actually ‘new’. Bablyonians said, “I reject your reality and substitute my own!” (by the way, that quote’s from Mythbusters) when they saw thirteen star signs. They took OUT Ophiuchus.

However, I don’t like my new sign. I think Cancer still sounds like me. Even so, I’ve noticed that my horoscope seems to be…off.  I will try reading under Gemini, but the description doesn’t sound right. Here’s a good place to check out your “old” star sign and learn about your “new” one. You don’t have to change. Who knows? Maybe your hororscope will read the right thing for you, and you really will have an adventure this weekend.
